With many years of experience in prosthodontics, Amy combines old-school craftsmanship with the latest digital technology to consistently produce superior results.
Amy takes a unique, hands-on approach to designing smiles—especially when it comes to complex or highly aesthetic cases. What sets her apart is her direct communication with the patient throughout the process. Whether through an in-person consultation, text messaging, or a FaceTime call, Amy makes it a priority to get to know each patient's face, personality, and goals. My journey in dentistry began early—at just 15 years old—when I started working for my local family dentist in Golden, Colorado. I took full advantage of vocational training during high school, enrolling in a dental assisting program that solidified my interest in the field. After graduating, I continued to grow my experience in Montrose, Colorado, where I discovered my passion for lab work while assisting in a practice that had a full-service dental lab on-site.
In 1996, I moved to upstate New York and joined a prosthodontic practice, where I focused on full-mouth rehabilitation, occlusion, and comprehensive treatment planning. During this time, I received advanced training in the Spear, Dawson, and Strupp philosophies, deepening my understanding of how to create functional, aesthetic smiles that work in harmony.
By 2003, I transitioned from full-time assisting into a shared role—working part-time as a lab technician
while continuing part-time clinical work in the office of Dr. Steven Engel.
This balance allowed me to refine my lab skills while staying closely connected to patient care.
In March 2004, I followed my dream and opened my own dental lab.
What began as a traditional crown-and-bridge lab has since evolved into a fully digital operation,
equipped with a scanner, 3Shape design software, milling capabilities, and 3D printing technology.
With decades of hands-on experience and a deep love for the art and science of dentistry,
I feel truly honored to help patients achieve beautiful, functional smiles.
This work is my passion, and I am grateful every day for the opportunity to make a difference
